Hey guys,

I finally got a new dak, a 98 5.2 standard cab 2x4. It’s definitely ALOT better than my old 97 3.9 4x4 ext cab. Now, I know I could be searching these boards for days to look up the question I’m going to ask, but I just wanted some of the guys to give me a simple or short answer. Where do I start moding this thing??
I have a duel intake in it already and that’s it. I don’t know what parts to start with when I start messing with the motor. I wanted to get a M1, but don’t know what else I'll need to make that run right. So please just point me in the right direction.

I'm sure a bunch of people are going to jump on this as a free opportunity to tell me to read the boards, but "ohh well". Like you have anything better to do, right?

If your going to get the MI intake manifold, I would get a 50MM throttle body to go with it. I'm not sure what you mean by a duel intake, if that is some sort of aftermarket air intake then you wouldn't need to mess with that, but I would open up the exhaust a bit with a 3" cat back system. Maybe a PCM reprogram (I have a superchip reprogrammer for mine) or the Mopar Performance Flash, Hypertech, etc..etc... Remember everyone is going to have different opinions as to what to do, these are just my suggestions for starter mods.

jdllizard,

Thanks for your reply and help. The exhaust is definitly my next thing to do. Its pretty bad when my old V6 sounded better than this new V8, lol. I was going to put another Vortex single in/duel out 3" on it with a High flow cat of somesort. I was just mainly looking for tips and stuff on where to start "beefing" up the motor. :) thanks again!
