Message: Hey all, Im new to this forums. I was a previous Ranger owner, although I love fords, I wanted a alittle bit bigger of a truck wihtout going to a full size that could have a v8. Im about to purchase a 1999 Dakota clubcab 4x4 with all the trimmings and a 5.2 liter v8. I was just wondering, I already know that I want exhaust on it, but instead of going duels like I did on the ranger, I was thinking about just a single cat back system. What would your recomendations be. Im thinking about a flowmaster 50 series suv performance 2.5 inch piping or 3 inch piping all the way through. Let me know what you think.

Message: I went with a Magnaflow 3" cat back system on the exact same truck, I really like it and it is not loud at all in the cab.

Message: I checked out a Dakota with a V-8 and a Gibson system on a used lot and it sounded like a V-6. I didn't like it at all but to each his own.
I checked out the MBRP but the only sound clip they had was someone who seemed to be trying to spin a bearing by reving the engine for 60 seconds. I'm more interested in hearing it under mild acceleration. Anyone have a sound bite of that?
What I'm looking for is something that sounds like a Mustang GT. Mild and throaty at idle but with a little bark under hard acceleration.
Thanks all,
Bryan

Message: If you are looking for the sound of a Mustang GT then you want a Flowmaster Cat-back. No doubt!
