The heads are the stock ones that came on my truck...

The valvebody was modded by this crazy body and paint guy I know, and it involves some kind of sleeves, drilling something/part out, and some kind of gasket work...I don't know the whole story on it, but I'll get the specifics and put the info here. The mods are something that you can do yourself, if you have the time (at least that's what I gather). I know very little about trannies...most of my knowledge is in the engine area.

i see how one comma can affect a whle post!! KN cone Filter, tb, spacer and magnaflow exhaust.. lol the tb is stock 65mm polished to true 65mm. the tb spacer gave me 8 hp and 12ftlb of tq, Tom J i got the 68mm tb you sent me, its being punched out to 71mm as we speak, right now i have a polished true 68mm tb, 4.10 rear, and iat adjuster plus tb spacer, big noticable diff from the 65 to 68mm tb, couple that with going from 3.55 to 4.10's very nice. lets just say the late 90's eclipse GS-T i put 6 truck lenghts on last night was not a happy camper....you guys should have seen his face. he had intake downpipe, boost controller and exhaust. i told him have at it. i asked him if he wanted to go again he said "nahh man my brakes were hangin up on me" muuahahahahahahah classic ..

TB spacers do not give you HP. It is absolutely impossible in the current 4.7L setup. Unless you went to the same dyno under the exact same conditions, you wouldn't get an accurate measurement anyway. I've paid for more dyno runs than most, and I tested the almighty TB spacer in conjunction with other mods (and then again with the same mods minus the TB spacer). Guess what? Zero gains in HP. Zero gains in TQ. There is no way to cheat the physics laws at work in the intake tract of the 4.7L engine...

demon trust me bro i feel where ya comin from, now like you said accuracy is everything and the pulls were back to back minus 10 min to change parts, tb spacer was off for first pull, and then on for the second.i got the gain on the second pull, i cant explain it, its a freakota i guess, as soon as the dyno is finishd being put inground at the place i went to before I WILL VIDEO the pull with numbers. does that sound fair?

Sure, that'll be fair...if you do 3-5 runs without it, and 3-5 runs with it like I did. You'll see that the gain was just the engine making it's actual peak power with no help at all from the TB spacer. You see, all that air comes in from the intake, through the TB and through the spacer, and into an empty/open chamber. This chamber leads to the intake tract runners which go on to the rest of the system. Do you expect me or anyone else to believe that this spinning/swirling air will evenly break down into eight seperate minature versions of this spinning vortex, go through the rest of the intake runners to the valves, and into the cylinders still spinning? Say what you want, and spend what you want. It's your money, but if your run all the dyno runs like you need to in order to scientifically get the data, you'll get ZERO GAINS, just the rest of us who actually know how to dyno their vehicles...

Placebo vs Re-Calibration of the Butt Dyno

My lighter wallet has re-calibrated my butt-dyno so that the perceived improved accelleration is only because of the lighter and thinner wallet.

I spent money on it so it MUST help?

Sorry about the late reply, the Mopar Show this weekend jeopardized all of my time..

On that valve body, how did it change shift speeds? Not worried about "hardness" of shifts, moreso just the smoothness/speed of the shifts.

And most importantly, did he have cores, or did you have to take yours and and give it to him?

No cores (mine was out already...I like to take stuff apart), so he went ahead and modded it. The shift speed...I can't honestly rememebr what stock was like now...I had the VB mod done 6 months after I purchased the truck.

i agree wit u guys about the TB spacer being useless but wat about if someone had the M1 manifold? since the air goes straight down into 4 tubes instead of there being a chamber like on the beer keg, do u think the spacer would be good for this manifold?

Well, the M-1 manifold doesn't fit on the 4.7 motor, and nobody knows. Start a new thread and ask the same question.

TB spacers. I don't see how they could help at all. Spacers help with carbs by increasing plenum volume. This involves air and fuel, but with a TB? Naaahhh.

hehe man, your truck is gonna sound so sweet with your cams and the true duals. I wish they hadn't released those true duals with NO prior notice (or no notice that I had seen anyways) the very same week I did my freakin 3" single! Can't justify buying a whole new exhaust so soon, but rest assured I'm jealous :)

Hoping for some low 14's this winter...ran a 14.91 at the mopar show in 85 degree weather, over half a tank of gas, and smacking the speed limiter with about 50 feet of track left...I think she's got low 14's in her after the cams/HO manifold/flash... I hope!!
