how do you have a dry shot? are you just injecting nitrous? I have a dry kit but it won't work because we have no fuel pressure regulator. unless there's one in the tank.

by the way what kit do you have?

Dry shot is just nitrous, Wet shot is both. I didn't change anything on the stock fuel system. Thats why im adding a fuel side to the Nitrous system, I don't want to lean it out. I put the kit together myself; I don't think anybody sells a kit yet. You could try speedtweeks.

actually opinions vary but in most cases dry injects only nitrous threw a nozzle and fuel threw the injectors usually by modifying a signal from a fuel pressure regulator by vacum. or on a vcn-2000 threw the computer.

I want to here more about your system any pics, specs, selonoid numbers etc? I don't want to waive a bs flag so early.

I'm no expert on the subject, infact this is my first experience with nitrous. I'll agree with PLWhite in saying that there is no easy way to compensate for the fuel other than a wet shot, hence the upcoming conversion to a wet shot. By the way the dry shot was a NOS nozzel and the new wet shot I picked up is NX which I've "heard" is much better. I should be able to give some kind of comparison later since the dry shot was a 71 HP pill and the wet shot will be 75.

Right now I'm running 41 HP Nitrous and 24HP fuel, when I was running a dry shot I started with 55 and went up to 71 HP pill. The dry shot worked fine with no dammage but I was concerned about the long term so I converted to a wet shot for safety reasons.

I have the homemade 4" intake, 180 T-stat, and an IAT adj. I turned the IAT off because I'm not real sure what it does with the timing. The pill actually has 55 or 71 stamped on it. The whole fuel system is stock. A dry shot will work but if your going for long term, it would be advisable to plan to convert to a wet shot, I only ran 6 10 lb. bottles through it before I converted to a wet shot. So I can't say that it won't eventually damage your engine, but it's a lot of fun !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1

yeah I know I've played with n2o before I have a zex kit sitting at the house, sadly it won't add fuel because of dodges returnless fuel system.

but if I could inject nitrous by itself I'd be in business, I wish I hadn't bought this new pcm that advances the timing.

Advance the timing????? you never advance the timing with Nitrous, if anything you retard timing(if you go over 100 HP). You get fuel from the pasenger side fuel rail test port, just remove the valve core and screw the steel braded hose on(#4 fitting) go thru the fuel solinoid and get an NX nozzle that has both gas & nitrous sides. Wire the solinoid to the same switch that you have the Nitrous on and your in business. E-mail me your # and I'll call& explain how I did it.

Sorry I misread, I thought you said you wished you would have bought the computer to advance the timing. Mabey you could get a retard box or pu the stock computer back in if you still have it. How much did the new computer help???

thats ok. lol i read to fast two. can you take fuel from the test port? do i need to disconnect the fuel pump fuse and run out any gas first.

I actually may find a different pcm and do this.

by the way do you have an auto or a man? did you use a window switch? etc.

all info appreciated matt

on my 2000 4.7 to tap the fuel system all you have to do is pull the needle valve out of the test port on the passenger side. the main feed to the fuel solenoid was a d-4 braided steel line. I run an nx wet kit and am in the process of installing a fuel presure safty cut off, purge, and a bottle heater.

plwhite- do you have an auto or a manual I'm talking about the window switch because the pedal will still be on the floor as the engine shifts, I know with a dry kit you need a window switch but I'm not sure about wet. and what shot do you run?

also for both of you what kind of trap speed do ya'll get in the quarter, I'm worried about hitting the speed limiter since mine is 98mph.

are the manuals the only daks with the 117 speed limiter.
