The stealership is full of it! Do you have O2 simulators? Probably reading the rear O2 and the computer thinks the cat has gone bad.

no I don't have 02 simulators I doubt I can even find them in canada. The dealership said that my dual exaust is hurting my gas mileage and its causing my truck to run poor. I only had one cat and they just cut it out and put the sensor back in the pipe. What can I do I am going to the muffler shop tommorow and they are gonna check it out. I would hate to have to put cats back in.

Have the shop install a pipe plug in the rear O2 sensor bung and Zip tie the sensor to the frame. By putting the sensor on the frame you ground it and it reads fresh outside air, so no more MIL. This should work for you it works on mine.

Maybe, I really don't know. I never gave a S**t about gas mileage. I haven't calculated the gas mileage since about Sept of 1999. Back then it was only 13.5 MPG and It can't be much worse now.
