Subject: 92 Dak Throttle Issues serious!!!!!! IP: Logged
Message: I noticed a Bogging feeling in my 92 dak LE while i was accelerating. This started happening about three days ago. Its been getting worse as the days progressed on, so i put the truck in park and reved the motor to about 3000Rpms. I bogged for me twice then returned to its inital Rpms state. Any idea what might be happening. The truck has 160000 miles on it and ive put about 90000 on it myslef. I never changed to Oxygen sensor, could that be it? or are we talking other issues. The truck did have a new Fuel pump installed about a year ago.

Message: I gave the truck a new Cap & Rotor, new wires, spark plugs. Im just thinking what could possibly be causing the bogging? I guess I could throw in a new oxygen sensor. What about throttle position sensors, could that have anything to do with it?

Message: It could be a dirty throttle body, clogged injectors, or old fuel filter. Spray some carb cleaner down the open butterfly throat, then swab around the opening with a rag. Try STP injector cleaner (black bottle) in the tank. Over 60K on fuel filter? The bogging when accelerating sounds like a fuel delivery issue.

Message: It sounds like fuel delivery to me too. However You will have to pull the air filter to look down the TB. You might as well check that too.
Otherwise I would just be repeating 01 Motorsport.

Message: I replaced the Fuel Filter and the oxygen sensor and it felt like it cured the problem. Thanks for the help! Peace.
