Message: I had a '92 5.2 (318) for 8 1/2 years. The cheap starter stuff would be to remove the bug deflector from in front of the air intake hose (free); K&N drop-in air filter (about $35); adjust shift points on automatic trans. cable (little square button-free); Fram 163 PCV valve (more air-$3); Bosch Platinum plugs ($16); STP concentrated fuel injector cleaner ($2.50); "old-style" 318 oil filter (Fram 43/Pennzoil 34/AC 20 size-holds more oil-same mount $4)...have fun. Your Dak is 300 pounds lighter than the '97-up, so you've got a head start.

Message: When you get the bucks, the Mopar Performance 25hp computer is worth every cent, especially with a good cat-back exhaust (my favorite is Flowmaster 50 or 70 single entry/dual exit with duals.)
