I have the Gibson single. It has a deep sound at idle and sounds good on the gas...good thing about Gibson is that they are engineered not to be loud in the cab - no droning when your going down the highway. Got mine through J.C. Whitney for about $280.00 - or less........straight bolt on to factor hangers, etc.

I have a 01 4.7/w a Gibson 3" single cat-back
If you want a good sounding exhaust this is one
you will be happy with nice throaty sound and wont blow you out of the cab but plenty loud at WOT.Kit is an easy install also.

I have the singel outlet and I think it's awesome. Not very loud inside the cab at all unless you get on it but if you drive down the street with the windows down it's very loud. My friend always says he can hear me coming down the street.

I bought the 3inch and I would suggest getting the 2 1/2 ince (stock size because I lost a little bit of power because of the back flow pressure.

But love the pipe... Bill

I'd definitely recommend the Gibson. I have a 2.5" single outlet on my '00 3.9L, and I'm really happy with it. It has a nice, "very V8" sound at idle, is pretty quiet in the cab when cruising, and outside has a nice burbly rasp. Roll up the windows for quiet, roll 'em down to listen to some exhaust music. It sounds great when you floor it, really raps the pipes once you pass 3500rpm.

Since you're staying with a single outlet, why don't you just swap mufflers. It'll be MUCH cheaper. The stock pipes are stainless and can't be THAT restrictive compared to mandrel bent pipes. The most restrictive part of the exhaust is the muffler.

I put on a stainless Magnaflow. Magnaflows are straight-through mufflers. No baffles. It sounds great. Nice, mellow v8 rumble without the annoying resonance in the cab.

Muffler will run you around $100. Joe's muffler shop can install it for about $40.

Well i am going with the whole cat back kit because its just a bolt on thing, so i wont have to cut and weld or screw with u clamps. But i looked online at their website, and found that i cannot even get the kit for my truck. for and 03 you can get kits for the ext cab and quad cab model with any engine, and you can get it for the ext or reg cab for the R/T with the 5.9 but know regular cab with the 4.7, you can even get it for the durango. So maybe someone else can help me with this deliuma
