I have an '01 dakota r/t. I was planning on cutting off my pre-cats and putting simms in its place, but taht was going to cost too much. so today i cut off my main cat, put a straight pipe in its place, hollowed the cat out and slid it over the straight pipe welding it back on. it somewhat looks stock and it sounds freaking mean as hell! it sounds like an old muscle car. it also doesn't throw any codes since there are no o2 sensors on the 3rd cat and it doesnt seem to be any extra smell and no smoke at all.

seems like it has a little more or it could be in my head. when i drive at like 20mph then floor it my tires squeel more than they used to
