I was wondering what is a good make or type of cam for the 4.7 v8. I just wanted to find out because I go out and buy a set. Info would help alot..Thanks.

I have an 02 QC 4.7 4x4 auto and I did the HO cams
from KRC (they are actually mopar cams) and they
didn't make a huge difference but it is noticable. I also
have Flowmaster cat-back exhaust, a Fastman TB,
K&N FIPK, and a modified TPS. If I didn't tow with this
truck I would have gone with a better cam set, maybe
the KRC 206s. The bigget disapointment with these
cams for me is the lack of any kind of chop or rumble at
idle. I am hoping that the addition of JBA headers and a
Kenne Bell Optimizer 2 flash will help.

It doesnt chop or rummble in the jeep 4.7, why would it in your 4.7?

if you wanted it to chop or rumble you should get the 218 cams. I have the 206 cams and the idle sits fine at 550-600rpm. It only shakes ever soo slightly at idle.
