Question: I have a Class 3 Hitch and Tow dolly that I use to tow some of my cars, but I do not use any kind of braking system. Now my freind has a Full open trailer with brakes, however I do not have a brake controler as mentioned. Question is how much of a diffrenece will it be towing with a full trailer verus a dolly. The only diffrence in weight between the 2 will be the trailer is approx 600lbs Hevayer--for refrence the car is 2000lbs--Race Car fully gutted--etc. Any help would be greatly apprecaited, unfortainly I need to do it this week so installing a Brake controller is not an option.

Thats in another vechicle basically looking at 2 heavy dudes--500# The weight of the truck, the weight of the Car 2025 as weight yesterday on the scales(the cars light so we don't have to give up beer--lol), and the weight of the trailer, 900# I belive, its a 18ft dove tail open trailer, I have yet to see it. I have towed heavier cars on my tow dolly and have no rela probleams but this is a much longer trip then I usally take.

Why isn't brake controller an option? They're readilly available and if your truck came with the tow package very quick to wire in. Well worth it if you need to stop in a hurry.
