Subject: Weird cruise control problem. IP: Logged
Message: My truck is a 99 4x4 5.2 CC SLT. Whenever I'm out cruising on the highway around 2000 rpms with the cruise control on, the rpms jump by about 200 rpms every 15-20 seconds or so. Anyone know what would cause this? It only does this with the cruise on. I also had the check engine light come on a while back and the code came up with something about injector #7 circuit (dont remember the exact thing it said). Could this cause it? Or could it be the computer or the speed sensor?
Thanks for the help.

Message: I'm pretty sure I read in a previous post that this is a result of a bad Throttle Position sensor (TPS) I have the same problem (2000 QC) but have yet to replace the TPS yet. But have heard this fixes the problem.

Message: Had exact same problem with my 99 5.2. 2 injectors were clogged..had them professionally blown out and it corrected the cruise issue.
