I just got my 4.7 dak motorsports truck back from the dealer (bad upper ball joints with an s on my truck with less than 34,000). I didn't get the dreaded PCM flash that I have heard so much about even though it needed to be reset for a bad IAT sensor. So as soon as I got it back I installed a different intake tube instead of the cheap one I got from Air raid and a Airraid throttle body space. Let me tell you the throttle body space is the best add on for the money. I got it on e-bay for $50 shipped to my door. I have heard so many negative things about it after i purchased it 5 months ago I never installed it. All I have to say is wow. The throttle response is instant. not longer to I have the 1 second lag before the power kicks in when to punch it while rolling. It down shifts much quicker and my gas mileage has improved. I thought it may have been the result of the new intake so I put the stock one back on. I did notice a lose of some of the for mention stuff but it was still better than not having it. Next I removed the Spacer and installed just the intake. The for mentioned stuff was better than stock but not nearly as good as the spacer/intake combo. I am supper impressed and suggest it to all. Best combo going I got both for a total of only $150 buck.

Some will say its the other things, just resetting the PCM after getting things fixed makes a big diffrence. I must say I was planing on doing a TB spacer even though everyone says it not worth it. But I also was gonna pick up a 2001 TB as that is a larger TB, but the spacer will not work on both model TB. What intake did you get Air raid? is it just the Box and filter or does it come with a pipe that goes directly to the TB.?

I got an AEI intake with a steel tube. The tb spacer has been proven to work on the 4.7 but not on the 5.2 or 5.9. The tb spacer and intake where very easy to install.

TB spacer doesn't do a damn thing. I dynoed my truck with it on (it was actually a friends...I wouldn't be stupid enough to actually waste money on one), and it provided ZERO gains. How can a spacer BEFORE THE UPPER INTAKE PLENUM provide any kind of smooth airflow or any other helpful effect when it just gets tossed around all over the place just 6-8" after it passes the spacer? It's common sense folks, not Aeronautical Engineering.
