So, even though my 98 Dak is one of the best things I've driven, I might have to dump it. Towed it to the dealer because a pin in the u-joint on my steering shaft cracked in half, and had them look at the oil spots around the many different locations that have them. Well $1650 to fix everything. I still have 3 years in payments on the damn thing and 71000 on it. I might have to ditch it for a lease on a car so that I can get right side up on payments sometime this century. Wish I would have to see it go, but I should be able to do a lease for just an extra $40 a month. Same price as it would cost for the work over the four years. I just put in the MTX amped thunderform in the back too. I'm probably going to pull it if anybody's interested in buying it.

Just needed to expend my depression somewhere.

Why would you take an out of warranty truck to a dealer for non specialized problems like that ? You could probably get the work done much more cheaply at an independent shop !

My feelings exactly.!!! Probably would have got the thing done for at least half at a independent auto repair shop. The dealer is the last place you ever want to go for anything.! I know it's too late now, but just had to spread the news about the way dealers rip people off.
