Subject: Best homebrew intakes around!!! IP: Logged
Message: For those of you who are smart enough to know that a homebrew intake is feasible and won't melt and you don't need the status of a namebrand intake, this is where you need to shop. I got mine from this guy who makes them and the sound, hp, and mpg gains were noticeable. THese intakes are for the 4.7 including the new Ram if you have one. Keep in mind, many people on this site are stuck on namebrand intakes. Here is the link to the store:

Message: Why not build it yourself it is cheaper and all you need is a saw and a drill. Very easy.

Message: CW:
can I pick up chrome or aluminum piping from
home depot???? I have an airaid setup (filter
and heat sheild) and want to run like a 4" tube
to replace the stock rubber hose. Do I need to
attach a certain type of valves etc??? I would
like something that looks good (primarily no
pvc) If anyone has made their own custom
intake tube, I would greatly appreciate parts
needed to do the job.
thanx

Message: You are talking about this one right.
You could get some mandrel bent exhaust pieces and weld them up. One 90°, small extention and a rubber coupler would work. Measure the diameter of the end of the airaid if it is close to 3.5" then that is the throttle body size as well. The only reason I have 4" intake is so that I can use the flowmetrics TB some day. Maybe after my tax return comes back I can get the credit card paid down some.

Message: that 90 degree elbow should go from TB to the
pipe right, in otherwords, remove stock airhat.
Would this give me a gain in horses, or is it a
waste of time?

Message: I have a 98 5.2l I want to get an airhat that splits into two air intake tubes to go down into two conical filters, one on the stock airbox side and one on the battery side.(Relocated) I saw a nice K&N one once but it has a single intake, and I know there is thee one that fits around the old style 14" round filter made here in Canada.
Can anybody think of anyone else who makes a dual inliet airhat?
Thanks,
Middy.

Message: Yes, our intakes we sell on Ebay get advertised on this site from our customers who like what they buy from us. But, every time a person on this site mentions: dynomax, autolite, speedtweeks, F&B, etc. that is advertising. If you look at our auction, the starting bid price is $89.80. THe price that is over $100 is the "Buy it now" price. THe buy it now is for people who want the auction to end immediately and have their intake sent pronto. Yes, we make a few bucks on each intake but not much. Sorry if we offend anyone. That is not our intent. We just want to provide a low priced functional intake alternative.

Message: I am currently getting rid of the factory air box on my Dak, and replacing it with a mandrel bent 3 inch piece of aluminized pipe measuring 15x8. It will go between my TB and my Airaid intake. If I don't like this setup I will get a Z-Tube with a 7 inch big mouth.
