I had an unusual engine start this morning, when I started the engine it immediately raced to approximately 2500 rpm and held it there for approximately 5 - 10 seconds then the engine speed dropped to 800 rpm, followed by another engine surge back up to 2000 rpm for a few seconds. This was repeated for a couple more cycles, then the engine ran what I call normal, ideled at ~ 700rpm. The morning was 60 degrees and it had rained the night before, I am not too sure if the climate had anything to do with this start.
Any insite to this would be appreciated.
