For all you guys that have purchased and after market Intakes without a hole for an IAT sensor in the tube or guys with out intakes do not worry. I have a 10 cent fix that can be purchased at radio shack or any other electronics store. Buy a 25 ohm resistor like I said less than ten cents. Remove your positive battery cable and the lead to the IAT sensor. Insert the two leg on the resistor into female clips of that lead, one leg per clip. You may have to trim the leg to fit better. Use electrical tape to cover up the resistor and the male plug.

Now you might ask what does this do? This will trick the computer into thing the air temp is cooler that what it really is there adjusting the air to fuel ratio. This will NOT harm your truck and this can be done to ANY fuel injected vehicle. I have noticed a definite increase in throttle response and an increase in gas mileage up from 18 mpg to 19 mpg on my 2001 dodge Dakota motor sports limited addition rc with 4.7l auto Black in color (like color makes a difference here ). This will work and will save you time and money. I found this on e-bay and paid 6 bucks for the directions. There was like 2000 satisfied customers. I am passing it on for you for free. Good luck and let me know if you try it and if you too noticed a difference.

You know you can build an entire adjustable version of that for like under $30? It allows you to adjust the outside temp from 30 deg to 110-120 deg. It's actually a very powerful tuning device for moderately modified engines. If your highly modified, then I suggest a stand alone unit...
