Subject: IAT sensor relocate IP: Logged
Message: Just built my "Septic Pipe Technology" cold air intake. Wanted to know the optimal spot for the IAT : shortly behind the cone filter or shortly before the throttle body (like it was in my '03 Dakota).
Any help awesomely appreciated, thank you.

Message: I also have an 03 dakota, and have been looking at the IAT sensor. Could someone also explain the best way to take it out in order to relocate it
Does it just pull out of it's socket or is there more to it than that

Message: Comes out quite easy...I just tie wrapped mine right on the throttle cable....why drill a hole in your air intake

Message: After you unplug the wire connection, just turn the top part of the senser counterclockwise about a 1/4 turn and pull it out. I mounted mine directly behind the K/N filter on my homebrew. Did notice a small improvement. Not so much with the 3933 autolites. Never hurts to try!
