hey guys, Just curious,I have 02 quad cab with a 4.7. behind the rear bumper is a thick bar mounted with soft rubber bushings.Just wondering what this is for.Thanks.

That is a factory vibration dampner. There must be some harmonics that they are trying to eliminate.
I took mine off of my 2002 quad cab, along with the rear bumper. I installed a roll pan in its place. I ended up eliminating about 100 lbs of weigth.
