 Subject: Does not like to Switch Gears

I have a 2001 R/T- And when i floor it in D" some times it does not like to switch the gears..Mostly i think to Second? Y is this.. I also tried taking the over drive off? Is this my computer or trans? It only does this somtimes not all the time, just somtimes...
Should i take it to the dealership for them to take a look at it.. I am still under warranty..
When i race should i manually switch the gears?
R/T owners? how do you race your R/T

Had the same problem myself.
I took it in the first time and they changed out some modules on the transmission and that didn't fix.
The next time I took it in, the dealer had to call Chrysler for help. They ended up changing out the entire valve body on the transmission.
It's now working great. Get it fixed cause my truck is now much faster and shifts a lot quicker then before.
