Message: i've also had a problem with my oil pressure. it seems that my truck uses up about 1qt of oil every month or so. when driving around the pressure seems fine, but when i come to a stop the pressure drops to zero and then climbs back up after a few seconds. i figure it does this becasue of the low oil. still, i don't know what happens to all that oil. any comment are appreciated.

Message: As far as oil consumption goes it is most likely the plenum gasket 99R/T. That is the gasket on under side pan or what many call the "Belly Pan" of your intake manifold. Common Problem with the V8. Take a flashlite and look down the throat of your throttle body. If it is wet down in there then your gasket is blown and it is sucking oil. You should be able to do a search on here and find plenty of posts concerning how to repair if not just ask.
