Mine won't run long enough to get warm after
5-15 secs she shuts down....I've been told
ecm....fuel pressure regulator or fuel pump....I
hear a high pitched whine out of gas filler neck
but its very slight but it let's me know fuel
pump is working but it may not be enough.....so
what do I do????

My 89 3.9I tbi Dodge Dakota won't
start unless I
have the gas compressed. If I start
the car
with gas compressed it runs but dies
as
soon as I let it idle. I have tuned
it completely and when I put it in
gear it dies if I don't have my foot
on the gas pedal. But if I forget to
do that it spits and spudders and
dies. The only thing I've done lately
is changed the leaking radiator hose.
So I'm stumped...

I have a 98 dodge dakota sport. I left my damn lights on and
killed the battery. Jumped it. And it started fine, but died. Will
only run when I'm giving it gas. But absolutely no idle. If it's
driving, its fine, but any pressure on the brake, and it shuts off.
Help!

Not sure where your from but if it's been cold where you live
I've had my pcv freeze and stick due to the moisture that
sometimes builds up. Truck wouldn't idle at all, but would start
and stay running with my foot on the gas. Something to try.

Take thee purge solenoid off and it should run fine to get
another one but your check engine light won’t go off...

I took the battery cables off for 10-15 min., it
started and stayed running, but now the check
engine light is on.
