Subject: Doug Thorley Headers?

Message:
I saw some Doug Thorley headers in a Magnum Performance catalog. I know Magnum Performance has a bad reputation, but has anyone had any experience with these headers? Any help would be appreciated. I drive a 99 5.2L.

Thorley used to make the Mopar Performance headers, I think the Thorley headers are (or at least used to be) great quality with really thick tubing used for a long life. I don't know about magnum though, I bet you can get the Thorleys more direct from Doug Thorley himself unless he has been bought out now as well.

I think Mike Leach now makes the mopar headers. When I got my headers from Leach for my 95 they had to get the flanges from Thorley because of some contract agreement as explained to me at the time. They made the rest of the headers and
Y-pipe.

Look around for better prices than Mag Perf. You will pay top dollar there.

Mancini, Koller and West Oaks come to mind if not directly from the manufacturer.

Flawless, here's a link for a guy who's installed Doug Thorley headers. Go to the dyno video link and watch the numbers roll off.
