What is the most you should spray (DRY ZEX) on a stock 5.9 that will not get a every day shot. W/O causing damage to piston I know that cast alum alloy isnt as strong as forged but can it handle a 75 on a time a week thing????

On any V-6 or V-8 engine they can run 100hp shot of NOS no problem. For the 5.9 you may be able to do 125hp but not much more than that with out digging into the bottom end.
At the shop I work at we did a 100hp shot on a 96 chev S10 4.3L, the guy used it everyday, she sold the truck and we took the kit back from him and the truck runs great. 3.8 cameros run SUPER on 100hp shot.
So ya 100HP shot no problem, if you wanna play safe you can buy an O2 sensor guage (tells you if you are running lean or rich) that way if you get on the giggle juice and the engine is running lean BACK OFF!!

wendell... by reading that post of yours, you are the last person i personally would talk to about mods for any truck, mine or not. based solely on your advice to play it safe using an air/fuel guage....

its widely accepted you can run up to a 150 shot wiwthout problems, a few people have run a 200 shot with no problems however going that high is not reccommended ~ by anyone, lol. personally if i ran n2o, id probably go 75/100, but im a wuss cuz i need my truck everyday.

Usually you can run about a 150 to 200 shot without any problems. I do on my 1998.....a 150 shot that is without any problems and i have 86,856 miles on my truck now and it runs just like the day i bought her
