Message: I know a 318 will, but does anybody know if a 360 will bolt to my V-6 tranny. I know the blocks are similar but is the bell housing pattern different. Has anybody done this swap yet? '88 Dakota V-6 (swap to smallblock) I have a '68 340 intake that will fit 318 through 360.

Message: Same bolt pattern on the tranny and mounts. You will need a torque converter for the '92-'95 318 so the fuel injection will work properly. The converter on the V6 unit has 6 "windows" for six cylinders. The 318 has 8 for obvious reasons. These "windows" are vital to the proper timing of the entire MPI fuel and ignition timing. You will also need the V8 computer, engine harness, and distributor.
