Message: Hersbird Havn't broken anything yet, but I am burning oil to the tune of 1qt every 1000-1500 miles depending on how hard I drive it. Getting ready to do a heads/cam combo that will hopefully cure that problem. As far as my engine mods go

Message: I know this is an ooooooooooooolllllllllllddddddd thread, so do not make to much fun of me. I found this while I was looking for the best fuel on the market on goggle. This was like on the second page 4th article down on my goggle of"best 87 octane fuel". Since I spend alot of time here, mostly in the off topic room, no I am not a troll, it peaked my interest. I noticed some knuckle heads are using above 87 octane. I only have a 2002 dak with a 4.7 and the owners manual said to never, ever use anything but 87. Does the manual for the 5.9 say something else? I was told at the stealership that all other fuels will cause my motor to ping. Just curious. I have also noticed that my local Shell station gas has given me the best mpg. What has anybody else noticed? I usually get almost 300 miles on a 22.5 gallon fill-up, and on this gas I got 340. Small but noticable difference.
