 Subject: 5.2 valves gasket problem...

I got a 97 4x4 5.2l 125 000km manuel HD .. and man the gasket valves are starting to bust... each time I start it it burn oil.. I burn aroun 2 to 4 pint of oil per 5000km ... is it normal or did I hit a rewinded milage counter.....

You probably have the famous intake manifold gasket problem , had this on a 97 van with the 318 , it used a quart every 1000 miles and I had this TSB done under warranty and it doesn't burn 1/2 quart between oil changes now and it has 75000 miles on it .
