Message: I dont know if I trust mopar performance crate engins. I know somone who paid big money for one of there 500 inch big blocks that was suposed to be 575 hp. He ran it on a dyno and it only made 410 hp. This was with the recomended carb and ignition.

Message: There's half the difference. Just the one pull ? You didn't dyno tune the carb and ignition while you had it on the dyno ? That could be the other half.

Message: Boy but you drug up an old post.
Cheapest way to get a 360 is to get one out of a low mileage wrecked truck. That is what I am doing right now. Check your local motor rebuilders too. I can get a complete engine installed for about $2300.
