Message: I'm shopping for a Dakota, around 97-2000, 4x4 with a V8. I'm having problems finding one with Automatic that is within my budget, but I have found a couple 4wd v8's with 5-speeds within budget. Is it possible, hard, or expensive to change out the 5speed later to an automatic?
Message: You would have to buy a new PCM, Engine wire harness and all the parts to put it in...... you would spend more changing it out then just buy one with it .....
