Just took delivery of my 2003, Quad cab two days ago.. Very nice vehicle and very happy with it..
I am looking to raise it up a bit in the future but for now what is the max tire size you can get away with with the lift?

I have the same truck, Stock, you can get 265/75/16s under it - they fill up the wheel wells nicely - changes the speedometer to about 5 mph slow at 65. The 285's won't clear the front fender on turning (I didn't try cranking up the torsion bar).

Has anyone tried the 275/70R16's on the stock setup? It'd be nice to get a little wider and taller, instead of just taller. Thanks.

We put the 285's on mine and the width wasn't a problem -they barely nipped the inner fender during turning - but the still hit so I took em off. Since the 70's are a little lower and not as wide...I'm betting they will fit.
