I had the exact same overhead computer in my 99 300M, however my 300M showed instantaneous MPG but my Dakota won't. Any idea how to reprogram/modify?

unless they are different on diffeent years, it should show either 1 you want. Mine is a 2001 and you just hit the step button to cycle through them

Indeed, they are exactly the same, however I suspect Chrysler had toomany complaints of drivers staring at the instant MPG function....and crashing. I just want the function to learn how to drive more effeciently...like maybe someday get 15mpg!

My 2000 Dakota had want you are talking about and my 2003 Ram does not. I don't think it is featured anymore.
