Thanks, but I,ve already replaced the coil and wire. It sometimes blows the main shutdown fuse. I appreciate all suggestions.

I just got a 93 Dakata w/5.2 and it is doing the same thing, will not idle. I have been doing some looking all over the 'net and found that a problem with the Idle Air Control Motor causes this. I am going to remove, clean and put mine back on later today-I'll let you know if this fixes it.

There is a crank sensor under the Distributor. I had that go out on my 90 Dak once and it was just like you said. Running and then it dies. Might or might not start right away. Doesn't throw any codes. Computer shuts off fuel supply because it doesn't see the engine turning.

Oops, I wasn't paying enough attention to the original post, maybe not the same problem I was having. Mine would die when I let off of the accellerator, when it should have dropped to an idle. It did this reguardless if it was in or out of gear, AC on or off, once it was at operating temp.

Anyway I did clean the plunger tip on the IAC motor and it seems to have cured my problem.
