Message: Does sound like miss fire.... Check your connections to the plugs and the distrutor, soke them in WD-40 then put them back on. If that doesn't do it I'd guess one of the plugs you bought is faulty.

Message: Check to see that plug wires are connected to proper contacts at the distributor cap. Can easily not have them in proper positions. HTH.

Message: ticats is right, not sure why I didn't think of that one... before you do anything else make sure the wires are going to the correct sparks.... And simply by replacing the plugs you shouldn't have been able to damage the wires.
If you have a ODB-II Scanner you can find out which plug is mis-firing... that way you don't have to bother replacing expensive parts that work. :)

Message: Sounds like a wire to me... A bad plug will miss at idle also, wires tipically give out under a load. It is very easy to separate a wire when changing plugs, especially if they are old, brittle and stuck to the plugs.
Best bet is to do the full tune-up and replace everything. Spend the extra money on brass contact cap and rotor, and some good wires. If your not sure which wires are best, just bring an OHM meter with you. You'll be surprised at how much resistance the really expensive "performance" wires with little or no warranty have when compared to the lifetime warrantied factory replacements.
Stay away from Xact wires, they are crap, I have always had good luck with Autolite (advance auto) and BWD (Borg-Warner) from Pep Boys. Strange enough, NAPA was the only place I found brass caps and rotors for that application!

Message: If you've got a '95, than you've got an OBD-I computer. I've got some part numbers for tune-up items on my website, plugs, wires, etc.

Message: turn on the truck in your garage with the lights off. MAKE SURE TO VENT THE EXHAUST.
with the lights off spray a light mist of water on the plug wires, if the wire are cracked or shorting you will see small blue sparks when the mist hits the crack. thats the easiest way to find a faulty wire

Message: sounds like your plug wires are out of order, one is not plugged all the way in, or you moved your distributor got moved in the process and your hall effect sensor is off on EFI.

Message: MJB...
Out of order would miss at idle.. BADLY!!! I still stand by my original diagnosis and am with Eric on the wire separation.
Let us know as soon as you figure it out.
By the way... Pep Boys cap and rotor are brass also!

Message: You may have a shot coil. I would first make absolutely sure that the wires are arranged properly, and are new. Engines require their strongest spark energy at low rpms, despite all the hype. A weak coil can usually manage a weak spark at higher rpms, but, despite fewer firings, is unable to manage a strong enough zap at lower rpm's....especially when it's a tired, run-of-the-mill OEM coil.
Also, check and make sure you didn't knock a vacuum line loose.
