Subject: Blower motor

My blower motor is shot on my 95 4x4.Can someone tell me how hard a job it is to replace it. the dealer wants close to 300 bucks.

I just did mine a few weeks ago, and it wasn't really too bad. It did take quite some time though. you have to take the cover underneath the steering column down, the ash tray, lower dash panel and glove box.

From there you can undo 10 or so small screws that hold on the cover for the blower motor. the motor comes out easily, but make sure you have some way to feed the new power wires for the fan back up because I couldn't push them up around the heater box.

It probably took me three hours to do, but I was BSing with some friends and doing some fiberglass work at the same time. it could probably be done by most people in two. Either way take your time and its not so bad.
