Subject: Dual exhaust for '03 4x4 clu cab sport+?
IP: Logged

Message:
Hi. What I am driving is in the subject as you probably have guessed with the 4.7l engine. I wanted to put a dual exhaust system on there. Hopefully, without moving the spare. I ordered the bigger tires when I got the package.
Any known packages that will fit my vehicle or will I need to get some custom exhaust done?
I also plan on changing the headers maybe down the road, and should have a new air intake in it within a few weeks then new chip when they have one.
Any answers to the exhaust question are appreciated.

I wouldn't bother with the headers. The exhaust manifold flows very close to any of the other aftermarket headers out there. You probably won't notice any kind of gain from them. MBRP does make a dual exhaust set up for our trucks. www.mbrp.com Some guys have been able to get it to work with the 31" spare, but i think it is pretty close. From what i have heard the mbrp has a great sound and doesn't drone in the cab.

I've got a Flowmaster 70 series behind the cat. with 2 1/2" duals, custom bent. The muffler shop welded an "L" shaped bracket to the inside left frame rail to push the spare slightly to the right for clearance. I went with a dual R/T look with slash stainless tips.
