Subject: plugs,air tube ,engine light IP: Logged
Message: well i did what everybody on here said to do. autolight 3923 plugs, homebrew air tube with a k&n filter. now the engine light is on, and my truck lost bottom end, doesnt smooth out till the rpm's get up around 2500 or so. is my computer still learning or do i need to do something else to correct the problem? this installation is on a 2000 4.7 with a cat back dual exaust.

Message: Did you reset the computer? From what I've read on these message boards I think it might fix the problem(s). Disconnect the battery, turn the key to "start" and hold it there for 15 sec. Then reconnect the battery, start the engine and let it idle for a minute or so. The computer should adapt to your changes in about 200 miles.
