Thats what what every judge at a custom car show will look for in a car. Mixed breeds will always get the most attention. You must be one of those small block chevy guys. "Ill put that 4.3 and drop a chevy small block in there.".....been there, done that

That's the first time I have seen a dodge motor in a chevy! why would they put a mopar in a chevy when you can build a sbc cheaper and more powerful?

The hemi 528 makes 610hp the chevy 572 makes 720hp I pick the chevy for the swap.

look at the tq curve and the hemi pulling all the way to 4,400rpm
O and hp isn't what makes you fast its the tq.
my truck my not have the hp but that tq will get them ever time. 318ci

Not to be a prick, but HP enhances top speed & TQ will get you there quicker. Do you want to be really quick, or really fast? I prefer both; bring on the diesels!!!

I agree a with toolfan. hp is cool and all but nothing is more fun on the street than a nice tourqe curve. I dont know which motor would be more fun though because i dont have the curves you guys are looking at.

Seeing as how tq and HP are very interrelated, meaning you can't have one without the other, they are both importtant.
HP is defined as the ability to lift 550 Lbs at a rate of one foot per second and that would equal 1 (one) HP. Two HP would allow either A: you to move the weight at twice the speed - ie. 550 lbs at the rate of 2 feet per second or B: move double the weight at the same rate of one foot per second.

That's why the motor of choice is the SBC for almost all applications, there are more SBC used than any other kind lol even Ford hot rods pick it.

i would never put a chevy motor in dodge! Ford never had a motor worth putting in anything!
as for the argument of the chevy vs hemi i dont no if i would want either of them. i saw on Horsepower TV where they put a blown 572ci in a nova and the thing was only running high 11s! yes they were getting traction! a 340ci sbmopar N/A could do that and still have fuel to get home on!

Frankly guys , its cool because its different . Face it , it was done to be different ! Whats the deal , he likes Gm bodies and Mopar performance , to each his own I say . Personally , I wouldn`t put a Mopar in a Chevy , but I wouldn`t put a Chevy in a Mopar either . Can you imagine a 350 in a Cuda?? Not for me.

power=money , the more you got ,the more you get , unfortunatly , chevy does have a wider range of aftermarket stuff for considerably less money which only makes it better when you race a chev and win .

I put a 3 liter V6 Honda Accord engine on a Snapper riding mower and slung the blade nearly 100 yards when I first engaged it.....notsmart.
