I know you guys always say just buy an R/T, but if i had a 97and up dakota and wanted to install a 5.2 or 5.9 motor but carborate it would that be easy. I figured the motor mounting and stuff would not be bad because you can get those motors factory. So i figured i could use factory motormonts. I would plan on replaceing the trans, drive shaft and rebuilding the rear. I just woundering if putting the motor in the truck and linening it up would be difficult.
thanks

Hey my dakota is still EFI but I know some People that has converted there dakota over to carb. and slowed down. But they only had a 650 CFM, so I would try it and see how it does. And I dont think that you will have to change your drive-shaft because I bet that it is A518 trans up under there, and then if it is all you will have to do is get one out of 90-96 V8 dakota because they are not electric shifting.
