Subject: Roller rockers IP: Logged
Message: What exactly do the roller rockers do, and would changing to 1.6 or 1.7 ratio rockers make a good performance mod, without sacrificing reliability? I know that they affect valve lift, etc., but I would appreciate any info.

Message: The 1.7s add lift and duration making the motor see a bigger cam than what is really in there. I think they also reduce friction. But if your going with an aftermarket cam it would be good to stick with 1.6s.

Message: Stock ratio is 1.6--- 1.7 add lift as described above-- and equates to roughly 15 rwhp increase-- and 20-25 ft. lbs. of torque.
Reliability-- I sell Crower, and use Crower-- and have had them on for over 60k miles-- no problems whatsoever.
I've sold hundreds of these-- and no problems. You'll need to mod you vavle covers, or run mopar covers to clear the rocker studs on Crower (I have 3 sets of covers already modded, and awaiting powdercoating-- so I can provide advance replacement covers with any Crower order... just send back your old covers please!)
