 Subject: Our 1st Dodge Truck..good deal?

1997 ext. cab 5.2 4x4 SLT
w/111,000 miles
Took it it dodge dealer for inspection prior to buying. It
needs a right front upper ball, a power steering pump (out),
rotors and brakes all around, and a little body work (all
surface rust) on door bottoms.
I found it as a repo at a local credit unon, carfax looked
great. They had $5k on it, and took $4600.
BTW----goodbye Chevy!!!!!!!

I know a guy with an 86 Ram with a carburated 5.2L in it, over 400k miles now. Guess if you treat it right, it'll treat you right. Much like a woman I suppose. Though I'm single so what do I know about women..or cars for that matter...hehe

I wouldn't put too much trust in a CarFax report. I ran two of my previous cars that I had sold that had been totaled by the insurance company and they came back "OK' on the report.
