Word to the wise, Bulldog securities puts out a remote start kit, it has great directions, however it doesnt tell you one thing, your truck may catch fire.My husband installed the kit to exact specks and within 24 hours my truck was wildly on fire and it all stemmed from the main component box of the remote start kit. Bulldog security has stated that that was the cause of the fire however they wont do anything about it. I now have an attorney on the case. Just be forwarned.

lawsuit...buy a new truck and use the rest of the money to mod it(minus the remote start kit)...problem solved...

Not to slam anybody... but most alarm kits with remote start advise that you seek a "professional" to install the equipment in your vehicle.
Maybe something wasn't grounded properly... maybe something didn't get connected correctly... Maybe that particular alarm was a cheap P.O.S. Either way, I think I'd let a pro put it in so that they could explain any malfunctions that might happen.
Sorry to hear about the loss of your truck...
