Just got my truck back from the shop and had a reflexions steel cowl induction hood put on, along with getting my front end painted to match the rest of the truck. Now the front end is screaming for clear corners, so they're next along with a roll pan.

Oh My God, I've never seen a set of traction bars installed backwards until Now. That is really Unique, one of a kind. Hood looks good though, it's on the right way.

dakotaman4dr,

you should turn those traction bars around the other way so the snubber is pointing towards the front of the truck. This will allow them to work as intended.

Yes guys, at first I put them on backwards, and luckly, the day before I went to the track, I was told about the mistake and I corrected it. Good thing to. That's all I needed was to get ready to race and have every guy there coming by saying "hey man your bars are on backwards." I'll update the pics on the home page when I get a chance to get under there and clean'em up.

bigdakota97,
Didn't paint over my old bumper. Rear ended a Lexus so the bumper and grill were trashed.

Joey,
I noticed a little differance. It feels a little more planted when mashing the gas peddle. Picked mine up at Autozone for $30. It's worth that I think. And yes they are the universal lakewood bars, but you have to make some spacers for them to fit right. Bought a piece of 3/4" square tubing from Lowes and cut two pieces (one for each bar), drilled holes in them to allow the U-bolts that come with the bars to pass through, and installed it between the leaf and the back u-bolt of the tract. bar. This raises the snubber to 1/2" of hitting the leaf. Word of warning, if you don't install them right you can bend your leaf springs eventually. The snubber needs to hit were the second leaf connects to the 1st. Either before or after that tab that connects the two, i can't remember with out looking at it but if it's only hitting one leaf you gonna bend it. Sorry for the long post, but I'll havepics of this up on my home page tommarow.
