Message: the IAT sensor is the sensor at the back of your throttle body that reads air temp entering the engine...some people take it from where it's supposed to belong and stick it in the air intake tube because the air is colder there...

Message: Actually it helps quite a bit on dodges. On my 94 5.2 it is in the intake manifold. Front passenger side. I don't know if is near the throttle body or not on newer model trucks. The best solution is to buy another one (20-30 bucks) and put it in the engine bay in a colder place and tap in some more wire to your harness and run it over and plug into the one you relocated. You see when the computer reads the IAT sensor the colder the reading it gets, the more fuel it injects to mix. This more rich ratio at WOT is good for more power however fuel economy theoratically should drop however most people have been reporting no change. I however have witnessed a 1 mpg lose. Maybe I need to relocate back closer to engine so it's not quite as cool. Also there is a limit to how cold you can get it before the pcm ignores the signal and uses a substituted value. Don't go on the principal if more is good than.... Also I hope Simple doesn't have any corrections on my notes today.

Message: I think it bumps up timing a bit too when it sees a colder intake temp.

Message: Not sure on the 4.7's, but I know on the magnum motors(3.9,5.2,5.9) the IAT)inlet air temp) is in the intake manifold, and not close to the TB. The sensor on the back of the TB is the IAC(idle air controller) and allows the truck to stay running with the TB blades closed.

Message: The IAT sensor is located towards the front of the intake manifold on the 5.9L motor. Hard to explain since it's been so long since I have the factory intake manifold.

Are you trying to call Simle a dumbass or say he owns a dumbass? The word "your" implies ownership or belonging. Maybe you were searching for the word "you're" as in "you are."

Message: Silver - Your level of certainty betrays you. As sure as you may be, you are wrong. I highly recommend you take my advice and ask your mom. It would be in everyone's best interest. Also, please refrain from simply name calling. If you disagree with one of my statements, you are wrong, but please go ahead and express your feelings. However, it does no good for you or me to Simply name call. Let's try to be more productive the next time I have to correct you. As always, remember that the rules also apply to you my friend:
