i have a 1991 dodge dakota 5.2 club cab. I was wondering the size of the gas tank. It will read empty and i'll fill it up. It only takes 13 gallons. i think that the tank is bigger than that. please help

I have the same problem with my 93' 3.9L and that the gas gauge does not move. We came to a conclusion that it was the sending unit in the gas tank is shot and needs to be replaced. Im assuming thats what is wrong with yours also because the older dakotas (like mine and yours) have that problem with their gas gauges. Although ive never heard of the 13 gallon tank. I do know that theres a 15gal and 22gal tank.
