I OWN A QUD CAB 4X4 3.92 GEARS 4.7V8 POSS.TRACK ANTI SPIN REAR END. THE TIRES WILL NOT SPIN BECAUSE IT HAS THE ANTI SPIN REAR END. IT WAS DONE AS AN OPTION FOR TRACTION AN SLICK SURFACES. SO SEE IF YOUR TRUCK WAS ORDERED WITH AN ANTI SPIN REAR END.

Well here's a big thing to consider-
The automatic tranny's eat up about 20% of the power, and the transfer case another 10% at most, so you are not gettign as much power to the rear wheels as a 2wd 'dak. I drive a 01 QC 'dak with 3.55's and can lay a one legged dog in any type of weather.

I have a 02 QC 4x4 with a 4.7 , 16 inch wheels and have NEVER been able to spin on dry pavement , I can mat it as hard as possible and it just launches , but if the ground is slightly wet it busts loose like nothing , I wish I could spin on dry land !

My 96 dakota with a 318 automatic 4wd and limited slip rear end Roasts the rear tires on dry pavement, in the rain if I want to pull out in fron of someone fast I have to put it in 4wd untill after I am out in fron or I'll just sit there and spin

I have 2wd with 275 wide rear tires, caltracs, lsd and 392 gears. Automatic. Throw a pig in the back of the bed and you have yourself a hawaiian luau.
actually its not that bad on warm pavement. If the sun is beating on the blacktop all day and the tires are warm I only get about 10-15 of wheelspin. On dark cooler days I need to be a little more careful. Forget the rain though, that brings a whole new level of fun. :-)

My dak will spin like a fool i let my girl friend drive it 95 5.2 extcab 4x4 auto and she has never drove anything bigger then a her mustang with the 4 banger she whent to get on the on ramp and pressed it to the floor the back end squirrled sideways and almost lost control lsd is not always a good thing but i would give my left nut for a picture of the look on her face when the ass end swung out

I have a 99 4wd reg cab 5.2ltr and i have absolutly no problem lighting up the rear end. PLUS i have the posi rear end. I have the 31x10.5R15's and they both will lay pathes from here to the moon if i let her.

Amen, my 318 in the 92 and in the 99 will roast em all day long. The 99 has an LSD too and 31x10.5's; CC 4x4. I picked the 99 when shopping used because it had the 318, sounds like I was right in avoiding the 4.7l. I had a feeling it was a car motor and not the truck motor the 318 is ;-) Keep the top end and gimme the low/mid power, ar ar ar :-)

I have a 97' Club Cab 4x4 5.2 5-speed Dakota, on dry pavement i can spin my 31x10.5s on accident. In rain i need my 4WD to pull into traffic. Even with a load I can roast them. Cut off the cat, adds power!

I ordered my 2003 CC 4.7 5spd with limited slip, and i can spin my tires like there is no tommorrow. I don't know what u people are talking about.

Try to brake stand that thing,,,, working at a dodge dealer i know ,any truck will roast the tires just try. i can get a 4 banger to hit the rev lim.
keep trying or even better set up a washer bottle to spray some bleach on the meats for some real fun

I just completed the crank sensor mod on Saturday, and I can spin both my tires at will. My truck is a 2K QC 4x4 with the 5.9L and 3.92 posi (or whatever Dodge calls it). While it took some effort prior to this mod, it really seems much easier now.
I also have 20" wheels with 295/45 Kumho tires.
