Subject: exhaust/cold air IP: Logged
Message: Hello, I recently purchased an 02 r/t. I was wondering which cold air set up was the best for the 5.9. Also, is the stock exhaust high flowing? Would I see noticable peformance gain if I went with a gibson single swept side?
Thanks

Message: okay i don't know bout the 5.9 but my 5.2 responded best to the intense performance stage 3 cold air intake...it's virtually a ram air intake. so i would recommend that....i know that the exhaust on the r/t's is a high flow exhaust but i'm sure that if you were to put a gibson exhaust on it it would help...just don't go with flowmasters...they don't really flatter the trucks true sound

Message: Save your money and get the M1, 50mm F&B throttle body, and K&N FIPK. Then get exhaust after those mods, you won't regret it.
