 Subject: Thorley Headers In A 93 5.9 Dakota?

I'm planning on putting a 5.9L in my 93 dakota and i want to put thorley headers on but i am not sure if they are going to fit....does anyone know if they will? and if you know of any that do fit i'd be glad to know what they are.

If the headers are for the 92 model year, 5.2L they will fit your 5.9L magnum.
If you don't already have the headers--- let me know-- I have great deals on mopar headers right now-- including your model year.

If you still have the 93 manifolds they are as good as most headers. The out pipes on them are larger than the pipes on my 98 5.9 ram and they will manage heat in the engine bay better.

you might consider the Hooker Super Comps also,
they're a true race header 5803 I think....

I located two sets of 92-93 exhaust manifolds today, I am keeping one set, the others can be had for 35.00 ea. 2 1/8" vs. 1 7/8"

I have a buddy that has the Doug Thorleys on his 92. You should have no problems with them.

If you get headers from mopar, they are thorly's.
I just bought a set for my 93. It doesn't tell you this in the catalog but to make thorly's fit yu have to buy a tranny dipstick, dipstick tube and new o-ring(all for about $40 can.). You have to get them off a 94 318/360 it gives you the part #s in the instructions. Dodge changed the bends in the tube between those years, and the stock 93 tube runs right through where the collector will be. When i picked up the headers the came in a big box that had the thorly logo made for mopar all over it.You also get a new y-pipe. Talk about quality these things are solid!
