Subject: R/T 6-speed swap IP: Logged
Message: I have a 1990 dakota that I tore down and did a complete 1999 R/T Drive train swap. I switched the electrical and interior as well. I am just finishing off my second R/T transmission. I was wondering what it might take to put in a t-56 viper tranny. I am aware that the 360 requires a different flywheel, but what about bolt pattern and linkage? Has anyone else built one of these frankenstein machines?
Thanks,
Ben

Message: I know KRC is working with Keisler Automotive out of TN on a T-56 swap kit for our dakotas. You should contact either of them for more details.

Message: WOW! imagine an R/T with a 6 speed! finally all those stupid 4.7 vs 5.9 arguements would be over.. the r/t would be unbelieveably fast and quick.

Message: No, because a 6 speed RT would beat a 6 speed 4.7.
