 Subject: How to check for options?

Does anyone know where or how I can check a used Dakota for options? Wouldn't it be in the VIN # if I supplied it to somewhere? I'm mostly interested in knowing if it has posi-traction, what gear ratios are in the rearend, etc., etc.

Check the glove box, there should be a tag on the rear end, you could raise the rear of the truck, if the drive shaft turns 3 1/2, you have 3.55. If the drive shaft turns almost 4 times you have a 3.92.
