I was wondering what the HP and torque rating are for a 1991 dakota w/318 and automatic o/d. its a 2wd. Also what rearend is it? an 8 3/4??

There where two different rearends available that year one was a 7 something the other was a 8.25" the i know that the only way to have a sure grip(limited slip/posi) in a 91 is with the 8.25" rear

ive got a 91 5.2 auto with an 8-1/4 rear......it feels like i have about 100 hp with 105 tq. i hate my 5.2.

How many miles do you have on your dak slowdak it may need a tune up and a few other things done to it. mine when stock feels like it has more than 170

147k miles. its been tuned up recently, ive got the k&n open air filter, and flowmaster exhaust. it runs good, just not like i'd like it.

I have some parts for a 1991 dakota if any one is interested. I have a 5.2 liter engine and an A500 4-speed automatic with the torque convertor (4x4 tranny). If anyone is interested i will make them a killer deal on them(together or seperate). I took them out of my pickup because i put in a 360 crate engine and a 518 tranny. The engine is smokes a bit, but i think it is just the heads that are bad. Approximately 142,000 miles on engine and tranny. Email me at thebrad1@msn.com if you are interested.

i cant find a front end for my truck i have a 91 dodge dakota V8 5.1EFI and some lady hit me but her insurance wont cover it so mine wont either so i have to get the parts my self i would like to know what web site should i go to to get cheap parts.

zac i think ur a piece of crap and u wouldnt know what a 318 if it came up and slapped u in the face u dumbass... u obviuosly dont know fack all about engines and i think that if u have to come on ehre to just find out or guess how much horsepower an engine has then u should go back and play with ur backyard mechanics and go and fix some brakes if u can even do that assfack

look at the date on my original post. i posted that two years ago. i learned a lot in two years. i was only 16 then. and just because i dont know the exact specifics of a vehicle doesnt mean im incompetent. The original reason i posted was because i kept getting varying reports about what the HP was. so screw off Jimmy.
